Default Vacation in Orlando
My family and I are leaving for Orlando for a week vacation. We will be staying at the Marriott resort by Nick Faldo's golf school. I believe it is called Marriott Grande Vista. If anyone. An recommend a course or two to play, wants to play, or just let me know where is a good golf store, please get in touch

Thanks
Travis

There are TONS of threads on Orlando courses if you get a chance to comb through the course reviews section.

I played both Shingle Creek as well as Marriott's course (Grande Pines) back in late February. Both were really nice. Shingle Creek was >$130/person and IMO, not worth the cost. I played Grande Pines the next day and found it to be just as nice but in the $80 range. I'd play either one again, but would play Grande Pines before Shingle Creek. YMMV.

Edwin Watts has the equivalent of a factory outlet store in the International Drive area near the 2 previously-mentione courses. We found some great deals on clothing as well as gear. If you are interested in playing any of the Grand Cypress courses, the guys at Edwin Watts were giving away discount vouchers with any purchases in their store.

Great resort. Fyi, there's only one ice machine per building, usually on the top floor. That was a bit of a nuisance but doable.

Grand Cypress is nice. Shingle Creek I've heard good things about as well.

I just played Shingle Creek on the 6th with Under 80 for $49, it was in pretty good shape and real challenging, if you play after 2:30 it gets cheap. I am in Clermont west of Orlando on vacation at my inlaws, I also played Legends here and it was nice just needed some TLC and it would have been really nice, it was only $22 to play after 12. There is a lot of great golf here and it is REAL cheap if you don't mind playing in the afternoon.
