Favorite Water Bottle

I walk 90% of the time I play and have an aluminum water bottle with a neat snap open lid. It does the job but the water doesn't stay cold long enough. I've been looking at Hydroflask and Tervis water bottles to keep water cold longer.

Anyone have a favorite water bottle? Also why?

THANKS!

Far and away, these are my favorite: http://www.gocontigo.com/

They don't work very well for carbonated drinks though, the design puts the inside liquid under pressure, and the pop will start leaking out. Great for keeping other liquids cold though. I think it's supposed to work for hot drinks too, but I have never used it for that. The kind I have is like this:

They are about 20 bucks each.

Camelbak Podium Chill (bicycling bottle). Keeps it cold way longer than just ice in the bottle.

Also the insulation cuts the condensation, so no sweating (for the bottle).

I use it for riding, and grab it for golfing on the really hot summer rounds. Keeps everything colder longer and doesnt really sweat.

I have read that these are prone to leaking at the spout. Have you two had any problems?

Not that I have noticed.

When I walk, I turn the spout to closed just to be sure.

I do have some red from gatorade mix on my bag, but I think my butt/hip was hitting the bottle breaking the seal little by little.

There are other brands with the traditional bike bottle closure, but I like the Camelbak that you just squeeze vs. pulling out the spout by hand or teeth.

I usually just bring a plastic bottle. Poland Springs or the like. That works fine for me.

Camelback makes an aluminum insulated bottle that will keep things cold for an entire day with ice. I have had it keep ice cubes for 2 days.

Sorry, stainless steel insulated. $30, it's amazing.

The Poland Springs water bottle works but if I walk more than 3 holes on an 85+ day it goes from cooler cold to luke warm.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that one also.

HYDRO FLASK

I was not a believer in overpriced waterbottles until this. I read lots of reviews on another forum then took the plunge. We have had 6 of the hottest days in the country over the last 2 weeks (Nashville) and I filled half with ice and sat it on the back porch in the heat. Ice was there for 3 days. That is insane.

Couldn't agree more. Was skeptical, but after seeing it in action in the summer in Florida I am sold.
