I Need To Work On My Game To Keep Up
 

Some days I wish I was a better golfer. So many that are playing to a 7-14 seem to be able to move the ball left to right at will with no issues. Seem to be able to flight the ball with no issues. And in the end seem to be able to hit the ball 60 yards past me at will. Add to that their abilities to feel compression, loading and unloading, the metal makeup of clubs at impact and I think I must be doing something wrong.

I study this stuff left and right and pride myself on certain things...But I need to hit the practice area more, because I am missing a lot. And I am dead serious with this post.

For being dead serious, you have me cracking up over here. I want to hit it straight and to a number. That is all!

I believe that I can feel the compression of a ball, but everything else you said is alien to me.

I can move the ball left to right with the best of them, unfortunately, it's not something I try to do. I may be the only one who can successfully slice a putt.

Yeah, I think I can feel the compression of a ball, but I definitely can't move the ball left and right at will, LOL. I'm with Cookie, I just want to hit the ball as straight as possible and accurately.

I'm just jealous of people who can walk up to the first tee with no fear of missing it left.

I can move the ball left and right... with no accuracy. I can flight the ball low with a fair amount of success. I can bomb the ball out there pretty well. I am clueless when it comes to feeling a shaft load and unload.

It was a serious thought. I mean I read every post on here and sometimes I just wish I was capable of what so many are.

I wish I could hit your vaunted "Rope Hook Me Jesus". I tried today....good grief it was ugly.

Many have tried, most have failed, but when it happens, it is truly magical.

Hey if you find out the secret can you let me know? I'd also like to hit those 295 carry drives.

Seriously though, I wish I could work the ball like alot of guys, when I do it its usually an accident...hell, I just want the straight ball. I love the straight shot.

I need to witness this Rope Hook Me Jaysoos shot. I don't think I can fully imagine the specialness that it is.

I would say Cookie, Chewie and Hawk saw one of the best ones I have ever hit (at the outing). TC and One-T have seen a few special ones in their day too.

I remember hearing about the one at the outing, it was South #1 wasn't it?

I keep trying the Rope Hook me Jaysoos, and keep failing miserably. I did hit a beautiful "Slicing Sancho) the other day though.
