I think the biggest reason they do it is so they can watch the thing at home later and get their moment of fame when they hear themselves on TV. In all seriousness though...it's sheer stupidity and as a newcomer to golf, I've never understood why it still happens. It seems like either the golf course security, or another fan (or group of fans) would have made an example of these people already. It makes golf fans look like douchebags... |

when people know they can get under your skin some will actually do it,I mean do you guys think they believe someone is gonna hole a 600 yard shot?but they know they are annoying the heck out of people so they do it |

My buddy is a fan of Ryo Ishikawa and followed him around for few holes on Thursday. In what he thought was friendly encouragement, he was told by a USGA rep that he needed to knock it off. So they are certainly monitoring and addressing the situation. |
