Spent this off-season really amped to start the season as I didn't play as much last year as I would have preferred; lots of indoor putting and a few trips to the golf dome. Played my first round of the season a couple of weeks ago, while on vacation, and dropped a really nasty 106! I counted 6 shots (including putts) that I felt good about. 6! Followed that up yesterday with a clean 81. And, I counted 6 shots that I "gave" away - 2 penalty strokes, 2 flubbed pitches, and a choke on 1 putt. 6! Definitely the earliest I have challenged 80 in a season.
That's what keeps me coming back to this game! |
