I Vow...

...To never shoot in the 100s again! This off season is going to be as focused as I have ever been. My competitive nature has me beating myself up for playing poorly, I know I am capable of playing better and smarter golf. After this season I will break down my game and work on all the flaws. I know golf is an enjoyable sport and I do enjoy the time spent with friends, but frankly I am sick of France beating me all the time! And so I start towards my goal of shooting lower and playing smarter!

Get you a series of lessons if it's in your budget and a good pro can point you in the right direction. Try to learn to shape the ball to one side of the fairway all the time. Being erratic can play havoc with your mind. Most of us amateur's are not shot shapers anyway. Learn what your strength is and embrace it. Good luck and stay focused on your goals!

thanks, I just feel like I am not as serious as I can be with my game. I need to get on track for next year. 2012 is the year I turn my game around!

I vow even with thegeneral's improvements I will improve myself, thus continuing my dominace.

I found a great way to keep the big numbers down was to stop going for it. It was always on a 5 par, driver 3 wood, no matter what. Now its usually driver, five or 6 or 7, keep it in play. If I hit a bad drive on a 4 par, knock it out, play for bogey. I gave up trying to hit the ball through the bathroom window.

I like the vow. However, I wouldn't let a bad round get to you. If the numbers start to add up, relax and just keep working on the shots. Sometimes the ball doesn't behave. When it isn't your day, just try to relax and enjoy being outside.

Good luck with this! I hope you get to where you want to be!

Good vow. I would say don't even focus on making a bunch of pars, but for now, focus on being a bogey machine. Hit the green in one over regulation and 2 putt. That's what I do a lot.

today on the par 5's DawgDaddy and I chatted everytime I came to my second shot. I was in the fairway almost all day, I hit 12 of them. Anyway, I could have hit my 3 wood on any or all the par 5's ... but I didn't ..... what I did was back down from the distance to the center to 100-80 yards and played that. So I had a L or SW on every one of them .... worked out like a Charm !!!

Try laying back sometimes and see how that feels, I like it http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...ies/act-up.png

Good luck to you with your Vows !!
