The time spent with friends and family is awesome. So is the competition. Not only against others, but against yourself, knowing that no matter how you perform, there is always a chance you can do better. It's just a great game that I can play until I'm very old, and I'll always be able to enjoy it!

My wife is also retired and if I'm at home she thinks I should be busy. No Brainer...be gone. Actually, I like playing golf and don't need a reason to go back.

Every time I chip one in.
Every time I make a long putt that I have no business making.
Every time I hit a drive exactly the way I saw it in my mind's eye at setup.
Every time I knock one closer to the pin than my buddies.
Every birdie I make.
The one eagle I've made.
Seeing a hole in one a buddy made.

Love this game...

The Challenge, you can always play better , you can`t ever play perfectly. Every time out is a chance to be better than I have ever been before, that keeps me coming back.
dead on, im right there with ya!

The court system. I've been ordered to play golf no less than twice a week or go to jail. Kind of like court ordered community service. It's harsh, but I enjoy my freedom too much not to comply. Though difficult, I soldier on.

I just set too many records along the way to quit now. Being able to hook/slice 20 yards either way, while controlling traj and spin, Im just too good for JV, I go all varsity baby.

There is always "that one shot" that makes it all worth it, and makes you feel like you know what you are doing.
