Alright guys, lets have your short iron distances; here is what I've got I rarely hit full shots either with wedges. If I had the distance you have with the clubs you listed, I would sell the rest of my irons. |

I generally try to swing at 80-90%. I don't like to try to nuke my clubs. However, sometimes I just let it out on some hits with some great hits and also some absolutely bad results. I used to try to always hit my 56* SW for 100 yd shots with a fast, hard swing. Now, I use my 52* AW for those shots with much, much better results!

I have a no name 60* wedge that I can go at with everything I have and not hit it 60 yds. Don't use it much but it's handy for popping stuff fairly straight up when called for - open up the blade and stance, swing hard from a fluffy lie, straight up, 20 yds, bounce and dead. And, though I am a lefty, I am no Phil.
still learning a new set and a new swing, but for now: PW 100-110 9i 120-125 8i 130-135 |
