Default Imma Build a Putting Green
Yup.

I am currently in the planning stages. Me and a friend, who had a short lived career on this forum as hbo12, are gonna build it over at the family farm. This thread will be a journal of sorts.

I will probably order supplies of the interweb, considering I live somewhere between nowhere and the Twilight Zone.

I will be looking at about 5 different spots this week. I have several options, between a few shade areas, hill sides, ect.

I almost built my own real putting green 21 years ago till I started pricing the seed ,the motorized reel mowers , they start at around $2500 dollars and go up , and then once you have it built , the maintenance everyday is crazy , the aerating twice a year , fertilizing , then trying to keep fungus off , and then grub worms eating it up from under ground , and all the insects ect...... was not feasible to me , plus I have a half acre to take care of on top of it all .
Best of luck & hope it all works out for you !

Maybe you could hire the guy from Pipe Dreams to work on it and help a brother out

Nice. I have wanted to put one in my yard with a little bunker to practice out of for quite some time. Good luck!
