Ok, so I'm always hearing the term "boring trajectory", most recently in the Srixon ad with Furyk describing why he switched balls (as if it wasn't for the cash, not that I have a problem with that, but I digress).
I've always assumed this term meant "average ho hum flight path, not too high, not too low". But it suddenly occurred to me that it may mean bore as in boring a hole. Similar to the idea of a piercing or penetrating trajectory that people talk about when describing the performance of longer clubs. So... which is it? |

He is speaking of a penetrating ball flight or path. If you have optimum trajectory on your ball it will plane out, meaning you will get the most distance out of the shot. This depends a lot of factors but this ball in my opinion has tendency to get that flat plane you look for on well struck shot. I hit the yellow srixon and went a country mile. The one quality I loved was the ball flight, it was a boreing ball flight.
BTW..there are no dumb questions...if you don't ask you can't learn nothing.... Ok, so I'm always hearing the term "boring trajectory", most recently in the Srixon ad with Furyk describing why he switched balls (as if it wasn't for the cash, not that I have a problem with that, but I digress). |
