Where do you get sore after a round?
I have noticed lately that on days when I strike the ball particularly well my legs are what hurt the most the next day and on days when I struggle, my lower back suffers. It must be telling me something about a swing flaw but I'm not sure what.
Anyone else notice something like this? |
The bottom of my feet get sore. I suppose it's from rocking back and forth without staying on the balls of my feet. Balance has been my major problem the last few years although it is getting better since joining the gym. Now my wife usually has a sore butt muscle pull and we are still trying to figure out the source from that one.

Lately I've been suffering with bad lower back pain/tenderness on the right side and soreness in my left arm around the bend. I've also had bouts with sore ribs on the left side but that has mostly disappeared.
I have chaulked it up to being older and trying to act like I'm still 16. Edit: I didn't really want to mention the butt pain but my hubby went ahead and did it for me. It's directly related to the lower back pain though. http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...es/beat-up.png |
Lower back for me. Its been sore for thirty years, so at 49 I'm use to it, but it does hurt a little after walking 18.

With the way I've been playing the last year, I've been most sore in the wallet and ego areas. I need to try that 'how to break 80 in 6 weeks' program.
Other than that, usually just my hands hurt if its early in the year and they're not fully callused yet. |
My brain.
Also my left arm/shoulder if I am lifting in the backswing. (bad!) And the outside of my right knee from loading up on my right side. I have IT band problems. |
My liver. From all of the beer and bloodies I use to help me forget about my round.

For me (lefty) its always my right calf and my lower back.

lower back if anything. but that means I'm turning all the way back and rotating through so it's not a bad pain. maybe my left glute too

Lower back for me, but that tells me that I'm turning well and holding my finish well. I don't get too sore though. Nothing a little stretching can't help.

Lower back for me as well but I find if I take 2 Alieve an hour or so before the round and stretch out a bit then the pain is limited or non existent.

A gentle warm up and two Aleve takes care of my problems. I do not hit balls off hard mats indoors in the Winter because that bothers my thumbs a lot at the base. Too much of a digger for hard mats.
