Playing a scramble with family this weekend
 

This weekend Darren and I are playing in a scramble with our 2 girls. My oldest is 12 and the younger one is 10. The oldest has a good swing but hasn't been too interested in playing a lot. The younger one is less interested than the older one. They both have played in some local tournaments in the summer, but we don't push.

We figured it will be a fun family day for us to play together. It is a customer appreciation tournament put on by a local golf shop we go to. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them here of our family golf day. Wish us luck!

You'll have a blast. Last year a guy I know blew me off to play on another team in a scramble because I wanted to play with my daughter and my wife. I found a guy to fill in who played terribly so it was basically my wife, daughter, and I.

We shot -8. The team my friend decided to play on instead of with us? -5. Bwahahahahahaha. I tease him about it all the time. Did it today when I talked to him about playing golf tomorrow.

Have fun, kokogirl. Use some of your daughter's shots even if they may not be the best choice. They'll love that, and it could bring their interest up.

Sounds like a really good time. My best memories are being on the golf course with my parents when they were much younger. My mother took me and my brother all the time. Golf, kids and family just go great together.

We are all going to wear something pink. I will definitely gets some pics!

Same here Hoosier! My Mom, older brother, and myself used to go all the time. I have some of the most fond memories and rounds with those two.

It doesn't get much better than that!

If they really get into it, watch out. My house looks like that all the time! LOL.
