screw you. i suppose being a walk on for some of you guys is awesome because people gawk at you in amazement at how much your kicking there ass, for some of us its different, so now ive probably been playing golf 2 or 3 months at courses. im terrible, today i shot a 105 on a par 62, and i couldnt help wanting to punch my playing partners in the face(i didnt, i should have but, i didnt), these people were the biggest jerks ive ever met, im bad on most days, today i was even worse today, i think i hit 3 fairways all day. after about the third hole paul starts to me, " why do you even bother using callaways", " was that a 5 putt?", " did you change your lie?"( i didnt). and tony, after i see him pick up my ball, put it in his pocket, tell me its not mine, and then tells me to walk back to the tee because i cant find it. and the last thing, tony asks me after the round, "how many fairways in range did you hit?". you know what tony, ralph and andrew?, you suck. i may use callaways but paul you had r9 driver and woods and r7 irons, and you shot a 102 on my scorecard not an 84 like you posted. and yes i did 5 putt, i blame it on you guys distracting me, with your speedy gonzales play speed, all putting at the same time, a few greens i thought you were playing pinball. and tony, im not taking 3 penalty strokes for not walking back to the tee, im takin 0 on account of you swiping my ball, and yes i was the one who stole your "bridgestone tour ball", i want my damn 8 dollar dozen walmart ball back. i hope your next playing partner does punch you in the face like you deserve, golf doesnt need people like you.

if tony paul or andrew frequent this forum and you played with a teenager at scarlett woods in toronto today, i hope you get in an accident.

Ummm perhaps a simple, I had a bad round in the Rant of the Day thread would have been better. Wishing an accident on someone might not be the best idea.

Besides, guys as bad as your playing partners wouldn't last very long on this forum, so my guess is they're not here. There are jerks in this world, and yes, some of them play golf. Hope your next experience is better.

First off, some people are jerks on the course, no getting around that. Just make up an excuse to start over or drop back a group to get rid of them. Second, when you come across these guys, just ignore them as best as you can and play your own game. Unless you are playing some sort of game for money or stakes, just do whatever you want. As a beginner, you don't have to play by the strictest of rules and you don't need to keep score. It is commendable that you want to, but if you sense things are going bad on the day, just forget about them and play to try and improve. Don't ever let someone tell you to walk back to the tee (unless of course something is at stake). Just tell them you'll drop here and play on. You are doing your thing, they are doing their thing, just leave it at that.

Golf is supposed to be fun. If it isn't, you are doing something wrong, regardless of the playing partners. I have played with all types, you just have to learn to tune them out and do your own thing. Some are better than others, sometimes you just have to be a duck.

Well said Stl. At least you remembered their names, I usually forget after we tee off.

I'll write their name on the card and put a note of what they are wearing or if they have a beard or something. I don't keep their scores.

I do that sometimes if I can remember.
