hahaha thanks Hawk! I really think he has a chance but I am a little afraid that he will bomb now that I officially announced his name. I am not a very lucky person ha.

I'm so sorry! I feel like I should write a formal apology letter to Paddy. I didn't pick Tiger either, I meant what I said he really isn't on my radar. I think he will be middle of the road I don't expect him to take the lead at any point during the tournament.

i just don't know with tiger. i'm with you in that i don't think he'll place well, but then again, it's tiger and he does unbelievable things, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him in the hunt.

question: which young gun (golfer in his 20's) do you see placing the highest?

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Tiger will not make the cut!

And I hope you are all wrong about your "choke" of the week. Angel has a great game for this course and I think he will do well. Than again, I made a few picks that may make people go huh? No Tiger, no Phil.

I think Hunter Mahan could make a run for it. I know he is in his late 20's but he is only a year older then me so he is still a young gun in my mind.

JB struggled with that pick. He said the same thing as you about this course being wel suited for him game. It is his poor playing this year that helped him come to that decision. I think my pick to choke is a decent one. I hope he does well but I just don't see it.

that's a good pick. i think that camillo could do well. it'd be nice to see him hit that early season stride he was in.

I would love to see a fellow gator do well. I was happy to see him playing well this year because last year he was nowhere to be found on the leaderboards. I would like to see Anthony Kim do well too but I agree with Shawn, I am not sure what his state of mind will be coming off a win.

Not (overly) influenced by the picks I made... these are my picks:
Most Disappointing: TW
Darkhorse: Mike Weir (I know a previous winner isn't much of a "darkhorse", so what - nobody else picked him)
Winner: Padraig

I love the Canadian loyalty to Mike Weir I think that's great! I thought he was a really nice guy when I met him at Doral. I would like to see him do well. I don't think he will be at the top of the leader board at the Masters but I would like to see him do well.

Great stuff... I really liked both dark horse picks... and I'm feeling Retief Goosen to win. He's putting like he did on 07, which is extremely important, he's a veteran and knows the course and he's been in contention in almost every tournament he's played this year.

And as a Sligo fan it was great to hear from Shawn... and I can't wait to read the review on Friday! I've been trying to wait patiently...

my pick to win it is phil mickelson, but mostly b/c i always pull for him.

my dark horse to win is lee westwood. he typically does well at augusta and he seems to be the englishman that gets left out of the conversation sometimes.

Isnt Westwood a top 5 player in the world? Hardly a darkhorse right?

sure he is but he certainly isn't being viewed as a threat to win it. i was watching the golf channel last night and when they were talking about an englishman winning the masters he wasn't even in the conversation. they were talking about IJP and ross fisher as a darkhorse. so yes, he's a top 5 player in the world but you don't hear about him in any conversations for this week.

I consider anyone to be a dark horse if no one really thinks about him being a winner. So I would consider Westwood a dark horse as well.

No way. Nobody picks him to win, because he chokes in the US it seems. But no top 10 world ranked player is a dark horse.

Your a math whiz, so you will understand this.

Add:

1 ridiculous statement + 1 ridiculous statement. They = a ridiculous statement.
