Default Any of You Good Folks Walk & Carry?
I usually play muni courses so I walk and carry. Also, at 54 I like to get the exercise. Maybe once or twice a year I will play a course where a cart is required.

It depends on the course around here. I always walk when i play asheville muni and i always walk when i play out in Black Mountain, but those are about the only "walkable" courses around here. Most mountain golf courses have a good bit of driving distances between holes so walking them would be awful.

I walk and carry at every opportunity, but a lot of the desert courses here do not allow walkers. They are just not built with walking as an option. I bought a Sun Mountain push cart because of some back pain, but I have only used it a few times. I still like to carry them.

I love to walk, but not to carry. There are only a couple of courses that I'll carry at, and that's only because they don't allow pushcarts.

I try to walk whenever possible, but I haven't carried my bag since I was a teenager.

I walk and carry every opportunity I get. People who see me always ALWAYS have a comment about me walking because they course is so hilly (IE: "How in the world are you walking this course?). I don't think it is that hard and I play with several people who are scaring the senior citizens discount age to death. The distance green to tee is usually pretty good though.

I'll walk with a carry bag unless I'm not allowed to or the couse design has quater-mile hikes from green to next tee.

Grew up walking- cart were just for old people back then. The courses I played with my dad as a kid were very old designs and very walker friendly with the next tee being pretty close to the green.

Used to use a bagboy 3-wheeled cart, but prefer to carry right now. Just easier and less stuff to futz with.

I always walk, but not always carry. Most days I'll use my Bag Boy push cart, but when I play with my sons on executive 9-hole courses I'll carry.

Not me. If I walk I'll use a push cart.

In order of importance to me;

01. Walk with my full bag, and my Clic Gear. 80%+ of the time
02. Walk, and carry a short bag. 15%+ of the time
03. Ride, if I have to. +/- 5% of the time.

My full bag weighs about 40+ pounds, especially when I am travelling, and have it loaded up with all 14 clubs, and various other goodies. No way am going to carry that critter. By comparison, my carry bag is less than 20 lbs.

I walk/carry about 40% of the time. Cart the other 60%. Once you ride the new carts with the GPS inside that also give you the distance of the group ahead of you, it is hard to go back. With that said, nothing beats a nice walk with your clubs on a crisp, sunny Saturday morning.

Our club is walking with a caddy (tee off before 2:00) or carry your own if you prefer (after 2:00). On public courses, I prefer to walk with a push cart.

My only problem with carrying is storage space. I don't like juggling headcovers, a water bottle, a jacket, etc. etc. Plus I've never found a stand bag with legs I really like.

I really can't walk and carry my bag full of clubs. I think my bag when its full weighs more than I do. I've tried it once, didn't quite work out too well. I ended up getting more frustrated with my bag than I was with my game

I almost always walk & carry my home course. A few of the other courses I play in my area are not conducive to walking because the green to tee box are so far apart.

Why not carry Bonk? You have that nifty sprayer thing on your bag. I can't remember if you told us how it works.

I walk and carry every chance I get. I think it makes me play better since I really don't want to walk a fairway over to get my ball.

I have a lightweight Belding stand bag that I use when I carry. I think it weighs only 4 lbs.

Good memory on the CaddyDaddy Monsoon bag that I won from THP Diane! I've used only that bag four times this year, once at the company tournament (motorized carts required), and three other times when I took the pushcart. It weighs probably twice what the Belding bag weighs. I've only used the misting system once, and it worked pretty good, but I need to give it a better test in some really hot weather, which won't be until next July/August.

I prefer to walk, but purchased a Clickgear after having a second shoulder surgery. Even with dual straps it's too much stress on my AC joints. The only time I ride is when a cart is required.

Really prefer to walk and carry, but usually use a cart because I have shoulder issues. I get into a better tempo and get an improved feel for the course when I walk. Only time I ride is if the course requires it, or if playing with my wife and she’s tired.
