I'm quite partial to my two clubs back home. Both have some fairly impressive views. One of them you can see partially at least here:

The pictures don't really do it justice. You can see London and even the Wembley arch (a good 25 miles away) when it's clear.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island takes some beating for breathtaking views though. I've never played Pebble Beach or Cypress Point, but something tells me both of those would be up there. Turnberry also has some great views.

Watching the Barclays and the magnificent views of NYC got me to thinking (which is rare): Does your home course have any really nice views, scenery, backdrops etc?

And finally, what course(s) have you played with absolutely the most magnificent views you've ever seen?

The best views I have seen on a golf course belong to the Kapalua Plantation course.

Hard to choose here in Tucson. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and most of the courses have views of those. Many of them are built in the foothills with vistas of the mountains or the city. I guess my favorite right now would be the Preserve. It is nestled up against the Santa Catalina mountains and has some breathtaking holes.

A couple from my home course... the first one is the view from my starter's booth with the first rise of the foothills of the Rockies in the background. The second is the pond right of the 18th green.

That's a "no brainer" for me. Pebble, Spy Glass, Torrey Pines, Wolf, and Bandon Dunes all have great scenery surrounding them. There are also a couple of courses in Colorado, that I can't remember the names, that are very scenic. There's a golf course in Jackson, (Hole) Wyoming that has some pretty nice views of the Teton Mountain range. Now that I think of it, this could be a never ending list for me. Best I stop now....http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...lies/clapp.gif-

My home course has nothing special, a few courses I play in the Dells have some very nice elevated views of the Baraboo bluffs.

From the ones I have seen online or on TV, a number of New Mexico courses have stunning views.

Harry beat me to it, but Abaco at Winding Bay is gorgeous as well.

We have a crappy little course out here which has what I think are some of the best views in the city. Scholl Canyon, I havent been there in a while.
