After almost 8 weeks, I think I can swing a golf club again.
For those following along at home, I tore a muscle in my left shoulder while stretching after the best drive I've ever hit. I was told no golf or fishing for one month. So to give me something to do, I bought a new camera, and spent a lot of time learning a bit about photography. The month went by, and I tried swinging a club again, and slightly re-injured the shoulder with a single bucket of balls. So more time with no golf, but I was able to fish at least. This week it's been about 8 weeks since my injury, but I went out and swung a club again. I stunk really bad, but I was able to do it. I've been to the range twice now, with mixed results. I'm still working with the swing change I got before I tore my shoulder, but I'm hitting a few really good shots when I'm not digging a trench. Maybe, maybe, I can play a round next Friday. Remember to take care of your body folks, and don't overdo it. Injuries suck. |
