I just need to vent for a moment. I am in the process of trying to buy new golf shoes. My frustration comes from the lack of women's inventory at golf stores, whether it is shoes or skirts or clubs. Yes, yes, I know that the majority of their money comes from purchases by men, but that does not make it any less frustrating for me. There must be at least 50 pairs of men's shoes compared to about 10 for women at any golf store I go to. The men's apparel section, 3 times the women's and it is difficult at some stores to even find the women's club section. How am I supposed to try on shoes to know if I like the fit if I can't find them in a store? There is a possibility that I will buy a $150 pair of shoes, don't they want the business? I am glad to see that more and more companies are targeting women golf, but if stores don't carry it, we can't buy it.
Sometimes it is tough to be a woman in this male dominated sport. ![]() |

I actually agree with you Soxy. GG and I really like golflocker.com and they have almost as much ladies apparel as they do mens. With shoes, they do not have quite as many, but there are less styles made. But they have TONS of ladies stuff and shoes. Problem being, you cannot try them on. But if you know a style that fits well, you can order check out their stuff.

You can cheat the system a bit though...if you find a brand and idea of a style you like, you can shop online. That's how I found my dream shoe. (One day, it shall be mine...)
http://www.golfballs.com/PA2669/Nike...for-Women.html As for anything else... - you can usually find the women's golf club section by the ample supply of bubblegum pink. - don't like bubblegum pink? Must not be a woman. |

For shoes, you can always try Zappos.com, which includes free shipping both ways (to you and return shipping) in the price. However, I've found that their prices usually aren't as good as other stores. (Of course, you could order them, try them on, then return them and buy elsewhere.)
The golf stores around here don't carry a good selection of women's clothes. Of course, their men's clothes selection is just as bad. (And I'm not talking about cutting edge/fashion stuff. I'm talking basics.) If you are ever in a city that has a PGA Tour Superstore, go. They have a huge selection of women's shoes and clothes. |

I am curious where those stats are from. We got some from both Nike and Taylormade that were quite a bit different, so I am curious. Both of theirs while different were within a half a percent of one another. My stats are from the friends who own very good stores. |
