The worst course I have played & I use the word "course" very loosely, is a small par 3 at Vitense golf range. The greens are horrid little things that seem to always be aerated, but the worst thing is you tee off on every hole from those driving mats, they are bolted down to concrete pads & the rubber tee's are all beat to hell.
Still thinking on the worst "real" course I have played. |

Easy one for me. It was Deseret Rose GC in Las Vegas for about a year. American Golf knew they were being replaced by the County as the course's management team. All they did was take in the green fees, and not much else as far keeping the course playable. The greens required a 4WD ball, and bunkers were less than hard pan. Dead, un-watered grass was every where. The whole place could have been "ground under repair" if they would have bought the white paint. Now a new management team is in place, and the course is looking, and playing better every day.
There is a track up in Ely Nevada that gives true meaning to the term "cow pasture pool", since there are actually cows grazing in the fairways. "Cow Pies" are considered hazards up there. ![]() |

Wow, great topic. I have played a lot of them. I would say one in Clearwater called East Bay. Its a complete Dog Track (although I have not played it in 2 years). Wide open fairways and by fairways I mean dirt paths. also, i dont know if its still around, but Cove Cay was another crappy course around here. i havent played it in over 10 years, so i dont know if its still crappy or not. i mean, these arent goat tracks or anything, but they are a couple of the crappiest courses ive played around here |

How did I forget Rocky Point. Sectioned in between two major highways in Tampa, this course has no trees and every fairway is right next to each other. Its cheap so tons of hackers are out there and they play from 5 fairways over. The course is awful. You can hit it right down the middle of the fairway and still lose your ball.

It's a tossup for me -
Tejas in Stephenville, backs up to a trailer park, it's a real gem. We used to go there just to drink beer, and sometimes hit a ball. Horseshoe Bend Country Club - the ground was so hard, it was like hitting off of concrete, the fairways were Dallas grass, no bermuda. Sometimes they water it, it looks best after the river has flooded. |

I assure you. It is horrible. My first townhome I ever owned looks good on that satelite as well. ![]() Check out the satellite of Brevofield...they planted small trees between "fairways"...if you can call them fairways. Scary bad course, and the scorecard talks about the history of the course and its "designer"/farmer. |

type in Bevofield Golf Links into Google...then click on the blue link that says "show map of 13601 Camp Kanata Road". Click on the actual map which will then bring it up in Google maps...on the top right of the map you can click "Satellite" and zoom in pretty far. good lord, is that sand for fairways??? or snow? |

Wawenock Golf Course in Walpole, Maine. http://www.wawenockgolfclub.com/ I swear whoever designed it really doesn't like golfers. No matter how dry the summer is, there are holes where you should be in waders. Badly maintained, and not challenging--just mean.
