![]() The source isnt 100% sure if this is all true (ill keep you all posted, dont worry.) But, according to an article posted on Comicbookmovie.com, the following details have been "leaked" about the 3rd installment in the Batman series by Brent Sprecher. Thankfully, Christopher Nolan is still at the helm. 1. The plot should be outlined in time for the screenwriting to begin in February. UPDATE 1: YES Deadline Hollywood</STRONG> (February 2010) "Now FlashForward showrunner David Goyer has left with 5 episodes still to shoot. Of course, Goyer's feature career is really heating up, since he co-wrote Batman Begins, and penned the story for The Dark Knight, and is now writing the third Batman installment with Chris Nolan's brother Jonah." 2. The Riddler is the primary villain and he figures out Batman's identity. 3. Arkham Asylum will figure prominently in the story. 4. Several classic villains will cameo, including the Penguin and Mr. Freeze (though as Dr. Fries, not as the supervillain). 5. Barbara Gordon will have a featured role. 6. Commissioner Gordon will mention Metropolis and possibly Lex Luthor. UPDATE 2: YES (LIKELY) This news makes the likelihood of a Metropolis and/or Lex Luthor mention far more likely, if not certain: Deadline Hollywood (February 2010) "Warner Bros is trying to ready its DC Comics stalwart Superman to soar again on the Big Screen, and the studio has turned to Chris Nolan to mentor development of the movie. Our insiders say that the brains behind rebooted Batman has been asked to play a "godfather" role and ensure The Man Of Steel gets off the ground after a 3 1/2-year hiatus... now [Chris Nolan's] brother and frequent collaborator Jonathan "Jonah" Nolan, and David Goyer who co-wrote and penned the story for The Dark Knight, are off scripting it." 7. Dick Grayson may be in the movie (though probably not as Robin). |

Much rather have Freeze but w/e, riddler would be cool as well. Freeze in the fourth, with his story beginning at the end of this, or Freeze forming into Freeze in this one akin to Two-Face. David Tennant, man. British Riddler would be mint. YJ |

First I know the poster is a fake. I mean I hope they actually use something like that as a teaser poster like they did with the Joker behind the tinted window writing "Why so Serious?"
Second and more importantly. If they do go with the Riddler figuring out Bruce Wayne is Batman. It needs to include the scene in Arkham from the end of the Hush story. Riddler- "Who is Batman? And now the world is my oyster." Batman- "What time is it when an elephant sits on your fence?" Riddler- "Everyone knows that one. It's completely....!" Batman- "Useless. That is why I have nothing to fear. I know you Mr. Nigma. A riddle every knows the answer to is useless. You'll never be able to give away my identity, it's your obsessive-compulsive nature that won't let you tell anyone." Riddler gets angry and lunges at Batman who slams his head off the table and presses down on it. Enter guards and Batman's visit is over. |

Liked that scene. Lets face it, though. Riddler for new Batman film was pretty much what everyone was saying. Depp for Riddler was a big thing, too. DC crossover, and possibility of Freeze is about the only thing there that is 'new' and it's rumor. YJ |

I like where the possibility of a tie-in with Superman could lead.
The end of the Dark Knight left Batman as a villain in the publics eyes. Superman comes to Gotham to take down Batman who is still seen by the public as a menace. Standard foes turned friends stuff that could work through the emergence of an enemy that neither could handle alone. |
