this is going to be a movie for original dragonball

if done correctly is can be as good as transforms was last year (as in debatably decent)

Heard about this a year ago, never actually thought they were gonna go through with it.

When it's released i will go and watch it for the sake of my childhood though i doubt i will enjoy it.

I can't wait for it! I'm still kind of in aw about that Zelda teaser though lol. That actually looked kinda intriguing.

It's going to be so bad, it'll be awesome.

I really wish the movie was based off of Z; not because I prefer Z (which is quite the opposite), but because I can't stand to see this happen to the original series...

This better kick ***, cause if it doesn't, it will shatter everything I've come to love about the original series. All I need is Emperor Pilaf, Master Roshi, Nimbus, Goku's Nyoibo, Krillin's shiny yet shifty-eyed head, and a Capsule full of dreams; oh, and maybe Tao Pai Pai if they get that far. Well, that and for it to at least try its best to follow the plot. Hopefully they don't condense all the sagas into the first film - that'd just suck :/

I love the original series ^-^[/b] You didn't read that wikipedia entry, did you? It tells you probably enough about the plot. The plot won't be that technical really. King Piccolo wants to take over the world. Son Goku wants to save the world. There will be two Z movies later, according to what i read.

i would not trust wikipedia regarding topics where fanbois are concerned.

movie3: (if movie2 was a success) leave it open for a movie4

spending over 100 million dollars to make this movie and it sucks will make this worse moveing of all time i'm still wondering about the cast some of people dont' fit but will see i'll go see it b/c i'm dragon ball fan and dbz and gt fan so lets hope it lives to its name do have a good director for it to so yea

Yeah, I'm kind of wary of this - I'm more of a fan of Dragonball Z than Dragonball, so I wouldn't really be as annoyed if this movie really sucked (as opposed to it being a live action DBZ movie), but I still have respect for the original Dragonball series. Honestly, I don't think the original series was as repetitive as DBZ, and Goku was still dumb, but not in the annoying way he was in DBZ.

So yeah, I hope it actually does turn out well.

I honestly think their going to struggle with the cast..people wont look the same as in the cartoon[/b] Yeah, which is why when many shows/video games that are originally animated are turned into live action films, they don't quite look right (lot of animation is supposed to look goofy, especially with anime). There's some exceptions though - Spider Man, X-Men, and Batman crossed over to live action fairly well, though I don't think the characters in those are quite as weird looking as those in Dragonball and Dragonball Z.

I'm imagining how like Freeza would turn out...I'm sure it'd be quite disturbing.

Well i Keep Seeing trailers-when the characters get beat up the clothes dont get beat up so its looks brand new when they get massacred by a ki blast and kamehameha balst...now that is something that is bad about it
