I seen the trailer when I went to watch Transformers 2. Was not impressed. Then again Transformer 2 was really bad as well, only liked a few parts of the movie

Honestly if they do the movie right and follow the cartoon story line it might be good but if they dont then i agree with Acegik: king of gameworld the movie will totaly SUCK!!!!!! But i say that more than likely it will be a horible movie. Dont get me wrong i loved the cartoon but the movie wont be good.

My only real problem with movies like these is that they suck as movies. If they were good as movies ((like what Marvel is doing now)) then I wouldn't have a problem with them. But they insist on sucking so much ass, there for, I'm not seeing this movie.

Silly little children. Notice it says the last Airbender and not Avatar the last airbender. Air bending is an ancient legend with about as many different characters as anything really. Read up on it and give a little credit to M. It will be fullof action and will molst likely have an interesting twist or two

Edit:
[ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Airbender[/ame]
It is a live-action film adaptation of the first season of the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender

=/ like I said if it was Avatar dont you think they would use the name to squeeze every dollar they could out of it? Maybe its partially based on it but the last air bender like I said is a diverse legend.

Please
You say the word "airbender" to anyone ages 12-18 they think "Avatar"
If anything they didn't want to say "Avatar" because this is the first movie and may not pertain to Him being the avatar.
or something like that idk

So your saying airbender has as much recognition as Avatar? And there is no dollar amount difference in using either one? It may be recognizable by the merchandizing potential it far far less.

i disagree.
I feel both are reasonably recognizable among fans of the show.

But if they called it avatar they would be able to license toys and video games and underwear. Now that there is no name brand connection to the cartoon thats gonna take a dive imo

I want to give M. the benefit of the doubt here. I think he might pull it off seeing as how he signed up for a trilogy.(3 books, 3 films). Aang looks odd, but then again its an early trailer.

ps: they didnt call it Avatar because some other guy is doing a sci fi film called Avatar and he won the name battle.
