I know Natasha and I watch Hells and discuss those who we think would win, but I tivo'd last nights episode so I can watch when I have a chance. Gordon was in town last year at a resturant here in Boston and I have been trying to get there with my wife one of these days. he is hilarious to watch....and his stuff on BBC America when he does the UK resturants (kitchen nightmares)seem tame compared to the ones in the States...

I watched a few seasons of it but got bored. Same with Amazing Race. I thought the show was awesome when I first watched it but got tired of it after a few seasons.

Master chef....Is that the other one with Ramsay where the amateur cooks create their own dishes?

I only like the UK version of Nightmares. Over there, he's genuinely trying to help people and shows his very human side. The US version is nothing more than an excuse for him to yell and curse at more people. I'm pretty disappointed that Ramsey allowed American TV to turn him into such a cartoon character. He really is an amazing chef. Too bad most Americans will only ever know him as a blithering clown.

Which would explain why he's selling himself out in the US for TV dollars

I had read that somewhere also but I was wondering if it was bunk because he is still opening new restaurants. I dont know how he can get credit to do that if hes in so much money trouble, youd think a bank wouldnt see that as a good loan risk

Most restaurants with Celeb chefs name's attached don't use bank money. They have private investors. Rich dudes who want attention and glory for saying they are partners with "Celeb Chef" Lots of people have lost their asses falling for this, yet it happens again, and again, and again.

What I have heard of Ramsey's money troubles are more personal than professional.

dont finances kind of go hand in hand with personal and professional or is that in direct correlation with private investors also? I didnt know that about the private financing but that makes great sense now

Gordon has been doing Kitchen Nightmares for five years now, so I do not think he is hard up for cash; but I do not know what his salary is and how his restaurants are doing. but you would think he has either a good staff at his restaurants and their is no market or maybe he has some personal issues going on....
