Default Hayao Miyazaki - The God of Anime
So, the title might be an overstatement, but he makes some damn good anime movies.
Which are your favs?
Let's make this a place to rave about all his awesome hits!
And talk about the 'lesser' ones he's made (*cough cough* Ponyo...)

I'll start with Spirited Away.
I swear, I've seen that movie 15 times and know every line.
I like Tales of Earthsea too (the latest one released in North America) but I was NOT a fan of that singing section >.>
... Aw, who am I kidding.
I pretty much LOVE them all (minus Ponyo. I only like Ponyo :P)

OH!
Also be sure to alert people to spoilers ;P

YAY HAYAO!

Hey, I'm not saying he's the best in anime movie biz.
I'm saying he's up there.
Sure, he's more geared towards a North American audience, but that's cause he's parterned with Disney.
But I'm talkin' movies.
I think of some anime TV that's way better than the movies (DBZ, Noein, etc.)
Ahem...
But I digress :P
What work has done?

I used to turn my nose up at Animated movies until I watched: Howl's Moving Castle. What a truely amazing movie this is. It caused me to go out and buy a further 4 Studio Ghibli movies loved them all so far!

I'm a massive fan of Hayao Miyazaki and of Studio Ghibli.

I've seen

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Tales of Earthsea
Castle in the Sky
Pom Poko (my least favourite)
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Grave of the Fireflies
Porco Rosso
Princess Mononoke
The Cat Returns
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle (which is HEAPS better than the book and I rarely say that)
Ponyo (the reason my daughter started eating ham and noodles)

Which is nearly all the Studio Ghibli films I think. And I know Studio Ghibli worked on the Cardcaptor Sakura films (which I have seen too)
