American version of The Office is brilliant. But I have never seen the English one...

I didn't mind the American Office but didn't like it as much as the British one, as I said, it was just changed around for American audiences and given the reaction that the Americans seem to prefer their one, they probably got it right.

The original versions are great, if you get British humor, most Americans don't have the patience for it.

I personally like when they remake the shows with American actors because that accent gets on my nerves after one episode. I can watch Steve Carell all day long but put Ricky Gervais in there and I'm outta here, that dude is not funny.

Why does someone with a differt accent annoy you? Sounds kind of racist to me.

The fact that you are talking about the "British accent" at all when there is no such thing just suggests to me you just don't like it because it's foreign.
