Default What are some songs that actually sound good on the ukulele that one should learn to play?
Well, lately i've been thinking about how there are so many songs that actually sounds good on a ukulele. Most of the songs in the top section of ukutabs.com for example sounds like shit on the ukulele. (I mean "All about that bass" on ukulele. Are you kidding me?)

Well I've made a short list with some songs I personally think sound good on the ukulele:

Somewhere over the Rainbow - Israël Kamakawiwo'ole

I'm Yours - Jason Mraz

Peace Train - Cat Stevens (This one especially)

Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles

Let her go - Passenger

Let it be - The Beatles

What are some songs that you think sounds good on a ukulele?

Hello Elizabeth_321, as there are many songs that are best played for Ukulele and you will find them online as well, so for your help as your friend is a newbie then he would love to try these out. The one that he needs to go for is Jason Mraz – I’m Yours and I must say even though it’s a really modern piece, ‘I’m Yours by Jason Mraz is surely among the few great ukulele songs to come to the surface in recent years. The song itself is really easy and simple and shows you that you don’t need to be an expert in order to play something on uke that sounds really professional. The singer makes things very basic, which is just because the song was made by keeping in mind the usual standards, though, it does have some particular vibes associated with it.
