Well Today i went to see the new punisher movie and it was pretty good. The movie did capture all the gore and violence of the Punisher Warzone Comics/novels. I think they could have picked some better actors and the story itself was a little weak. They did capture the feel of the punisher and that was good.

I recommend this movie to anyone who likes the punisher and/or anyone who likes some brutal action flicks.

Really a 4/5? The first Punisher was awesome...nothing epic but still really good. And by the looks of this they totally ruined it...I'll wait for DVD release to see this, but I'm skeptic about it.

The movie was maybe a 2/5. It was sooo bad that it was good just because it was funny.

2004's Punisher with Thomas Jane was way better. It had more of a story and was actually interesting. WarZone was just a shootem-up junkfest. The movie had so much potentional but the script was just crap.

Jigsaw was pretty cool though... reminded me of Joker, if he had grown up in the Bronx.

wow, the 1st movie was much slower and dramatic than this appearing to be all-action, but I enjoyed the 1st movie though. this 2nd one just seems to be all about action and "I must punish people"...lame.

No, the since the age of movies. The first Punisher came out in the 80's.

Oh, see that doesn't count. I already knew that. Basically X-Men started the dawn of new age super hero movies...so it basically goes by that time line.

I did forget Dolph Lundgren's Punisher movie from back in the day. that's what you're talkin' 'bout?! with that, this would be the 3rd...and I'm pretty sure that's all of them...

Technically no. Yeah it's recorded in "movie history" that was a punisher movie that was created...but not considered among the new age super hero movies (notice New Age), so with that being said, War Zone is part 2.

ah. I think I see what you mean. Batman and Superman movies are different from their previous 80's-90's movies, just as Dolph Lundgren's Punisher is different from Thomas Jane's Punisher, and Ray Stevenson's Punisher.

I've seen bits and pices of Dolph Lundgren's Punisher, but never saw the entire movie in one sitting...couldn't do it...

I'm just not feelin' so good about Stevenson's Punisher. I really wish Thomas Jane came back for a sequel for his Punisher.

A movie is a movie no matter when it was created. And if you want to get really techincal Warzone isn't a "part 2", it's another stand alone. Nothing in Warzone connected it with 2004's movie.

^exactly. there are 3 Punisher movies, but they have nothing to do with each other...no true sequel, whatsoever.

I haven't even seen Warzone, don't really plan to, but I really would like for Thomas Jane to come back and make sequel to his version of The Punisher. I think I'd like to see Thomas Jane's Punisher encounter Spider-Man in some sense.

So then with saying that, then Spider-Man 3 wouldn't be spiderman 3 because there are old Spider-Man movies made.

X-Men seperated the generations...80's Punisher does not count towards these.
