Default 135 Year Old Muslim Scholar passes away in Makkah Today
إنا لله وإنا اليه راجعون
It is with great sadness that we inform you that one of our elders and Shouyoukh has passed into the mercy of Allah. Shaikh Mohammed Nadir al-Arkani al-Makki (RA) was born in the year 1297 AH and passed away within the last few hours of today at the grand age of 135

Shaikh (RA) studied and narrated from numerous famous scholars in the Muslim World as he stated to many of those who visited him. Some of them were:

Shaikh al-Muhadith Mohammed Anwar Shah Kashmiri (RA)

Shaikh al-Muhadith Mohammed Yahya Kandhalawi (RA)

Shaikh al-Muhadith Husain Ahmed Madani (RA)

Shaikh al-Muhadith Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA)

His Janazah was conducted at Asar Prayer in the holiest Mosque and House of Allah the Ka'bah al-Musharafa.

With his (RA) passing another bright star of the Islamic world fades.

Our Beloved (salahu alayhi wasalam) said in a Hadith that is agreed upon:

إن الله لا يقبض العلم انتزاعا ينتزعه من العباد، ولكن يقبض العلم بقبض العلماء، حتى إذا لم يبق عالما، اتخذ الناس رؤوسا جهالا، فسئلوا، فأفتوا بغير علم، فضلوا وأضلوا

“Indeed, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars, until there remains no scholar and the people take the ignorant as their leaders. Then they are asked and give religious judgments without knowledge, they go astray and cause other to go astray.”

May Allah elevate his rank in Jannah and forgive any short-comings through His infinte Mercy!

Was the Shaykh of Indian origin? Not that it makes any difference, I'm just curious on the background of the Shaykh rahimullahi ta'ala.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

انا لله وانا إليه راجعون

May Allah have mercy on his soul and ma sha Allah what a blessing to have a lifespan of 135 years long! That's almost two lifetimes of an average human.

Can you post some more information on the shaykh? I am surprised that a student of such great personalities was alive at the age of 135 and we were unaware of his existance. Where and what did he study with them? Please post more.

Very saddened that yet another scholar has passed away.

May Allah SWT expand his grave, grant him highest of ranks in Jannah. May Allah SWT forgive any minor shortcomings and may he SWT give his family sabr. Ameen.

I believe he was originally from Burma. He was born in 1297AH

Our very own Shaykh Abul Hasan has ijazah from this Shaykh. May Allah illuminate his grave and make his journey easy.

He took hadith from Hakeem ul Ummah Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanvi(rah). Below is his chain which goes back to Shah Waliullah(rah)

Sh. Ashraf Ali Thanawi - from - Fadlur Rahman Ganjmuradabadi - from Shah Abdal Aziz - from his father - Shah Waliullah wasalaam

yes correct he was of burmese descent. He lived a lot in a cave the last time I heard about him. The scholars at madrasah saulitiyah were aware of him. I was supposed to meet him the last time I went harmain but once again it was not destined like with so many other great people.
