I heard a hadith about Ramadan the other day...the man said that the doors of hell are shut tight, the doors of janna are flung open and the devils are locked up in Ramadan, and this is done by Allah azza wajal as a Mercy.

What does it mean? Does it mean that this happens in Ramadan so if a person dies in Ramadan they go to Janna? Otherwise how does this benefit those who are living...we do not go to Janna until after we die...and after Ramadan the doors are put back to their normal condition?
