This is the problem everywhere...
In a country like India where Muslims outnumber Christians... we have more Christian channels that Islamic channels.

Its not the problem with Christians, its the problem with YOU, ME, WE - MUSLIMS
We are engaged in the Zikr of Duniya... How ll we remember Allah?

If all Muslims in India, pray Fajr - overnight Allah will change the condition of Muslims in India. Trust in Allah, not on channels.
Already we are weak in Eeman dont make it more weak by introducing a TV fitnah. Already in India we have made the ummah into pieces by introducing a peace tv.

about 90% of Indonesians are Muslim

Islam is basically stable as a percentage of the Indonesian population

1980 87.94% Muslim - 2010 87.18% Muslim

there has been a small rise of the Protestant Christians as a percentage of the population

there has been a reduction in numbers of Catholic Christians as a percentage of the population

but the use of figures that are presented is somewhat misleading.

to put it simply the Christians rew by considerably less than half a million heads a year. whilst that same period the growth of the Muslims was about 4 million heads a year and at the end of the day there are still a massive 207 million Indonesian Muslims compared to a meagre 16 million Indonesian Christians.

it says its associated with Mercy Mission which is associated with a Salafi college called Kauthar Institute (not to be confused with Kauthar Academy).

Kauthar Institute are Salafi, but not extreme in it. At least one brother who posts on here studies with them that I know of.

I don't like the video, for me it is too much like negative propaganda in how it goes on about the growth of Christianity, rather than going on about the need for a growth in Islam. It makes Christianity look strong and Islam weak, better to do the opposite.

There are Muslims who moved to Christianity every year in Indonesia. But not so much like Save Maryam claim. Usually they are poor and uneducated people, and they convert to Christianity because Christian missionaries offer financial help.

And there are Christian who converted to Islam every year in Indonesia. Their numbers are smaller than Muslims who became Christians, but they are educated people.

Christianity is the only other 'organized' religion. They want to convert all others to their religion. They know that Islam is their ONLY hurdle among religions..In Christian missionary channels , they "specifically" have segments refuting Islam... etc ...Why ONLY Islam? They don't refute Judaism , Hinduism etc etc..Well because unlike us fool Muslims , Christians have identified their target well!

Muslims must wake up and smell the coffee...Why don't Muslims start a mass dawah campaign in Africa , rural China etc etc? Any Maulana Sahib in this forum reading this? Any person that can contact Arabs over it? Arabs have the resources....they must fund Islamic global Dawah...

Probably in South East Asia ... but even in South Asia (Pakistan , India , Bangladesh etc) ...Muslims don't know about it at all! Ask any Pakistani here.... have they EVER noticed the spread of Christianity in Pakistan? They'll have no idea...because they don't even realize the threat they face... In 1980s , Hinduism was the largest minority of Pakistan..Christians weren't even prominent...today , Christianity is the largest minority of Pakistan? hmmm what happened? In Indonesia, Christians target poor people too. But they do not aim "mass target", come to village then spread food and money to people. Anti-Christianization units would know it and then take an action. There are many Anti-Christianization units that established by Muslim organization in Indonesia, also Malaysia. They are effective enough to counter Christianization toward Muslims.

So, Christians aim personal target, like a poor family or poor a person. It's not too easy to detect "conversion operation" like this. In many cases people around the target be suspicious and report it to nearest Muslim organization. But there's always cases that missed from other people attention.

How about da'wah in South East Asia?. In Malaysia, Brunei, and especially Indonesia, you can find masjid in everywhere. Of course, there are many Islamic preachers, Islamic teachers, scholars, etc. If you need Islamic book, CD, you can find easily in many stores. There are many Islamic event too.

But it doesn't means Muslims in this area are pious. Many of them just "ordinary Muslims" but their iman are strong enough to prevent the leave Islam. Except some people who trapped in poverty.

Why Muslim do not try to convert poor non-Muslims?. Convert with money is not Islamic way.

yes i reached uptil sajid umar's page on justgiving asking for donations for save maryam. what was astonishing was that there was no mention of save maryam on mercymissionworld website
khair sajid umar clarified it on his facebook page so i guess that is okay. some people were thinking it was a scam or even worse a proxy missionary plot.
