dont fear them, treat them as brothers inshAllah, they are your brothers. Many of them are strong in their imaan alhamdulillah and have love for islam which is not the case for many muslims today so the strong shoudl work together to help the 99% who are drinking and clubbing and committing haraam ratehr than the 1% who are actually practising fighting each other. Dont get into debates with them, just practice your way and let them practice their way inshAllah
i like the way you said.
but some of things what they tell and forces, makes me sad.

like,Mawlid is not allowed.
then mentioning wrong things of Prophet muhammad s.a.w.
this makes me mad.

Asalamu Alaykum Wr. Wb.

Study the madhab, there isn't any special words you have to say.

Just study the madhab with books or schoolars. It's not about converting, it's just changing opinions or ways of doing things.

The salafi scholars have no issue with madhabs or taqleed akhi, but I personally prefer not to get involved with any particular group at the moment, I might dabble here and there or attend the odd event of various groups but I really feel strongly that the most important thing right now is to work for the ummah inshAllah, issues of salafi or sufi are personal things which are down to the individual and nothing more. Whatever they feel works best for them.

I find some brothers to get involved in "byzantium debate". They say when the byzantium castle was being stormed, the christian scholars sat around debating what the sex of an angel would be, whether they are male or female.

Even shaikh ul islam ibn taimiyyah one of the imaams of salafi dawah worked with sufis and asharis to fight the mongols because he had his priorities straight. i'd go as far as saying that the muslims of today are in a worse predicament than we faced against the mongols. allahu musta'aan
i understand but on the other hand am a hardcore shafi but understand that there are differences that we should accept & consider. but i am muslim first & the next hanafi/maliki/hambali/salafi is my brother in islam first.

i just remembered a funny thing of a maliki friend of mine. he made qiyaam with his hands on his sides & this old man came by & lifted his hands to his chest. & every salah the old man came in & did it.

thats what happens when you a maliki in a 100% shafi town.

remember first that you have to know what is wajib in your new madhab. first things first akhi, no more trimming or shaving your beard if you have one.
no more basmallah in fatihah
& the other day I got a mail that imaam malik had a view of 41 rakaats for taraweeh.

He had a view of 20 rakaah taraweeh but he would read extra rakaahs due to the people of Makkah making tawaaf after each set of units and I think the last rakaah was witr. So the Maliki's still pray 20 rakaah I think

And Allah knows best

Imam Malik wrote his Muwatta, it would be a good start. You can find it anywhere on the net.

read this

The fact that the narration of eight rak’ahs was narrated by Imam
Malik from Sayyiduna ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
and he (Imam Malik) still chose twenty, thirty-six or fourtyonerak’ahs
further weakens this narration.[29] Another
weakening factor for this narration is that there are no other
references from the Companions and Followers which support
this version of eight rak’ahs.[30]

Yeah, thats what I'm saying. Imam Malik believed in 20 rakaah taraweeh but some narrations mention more (such as 41) because they include the extra nawaafil rakaah he prayed because he knew the jamaah in Makkah did tawaaf after every four units of taraweeh (so he would make four extra units each time) which put the total rakaah's to 36 (which explains some narrations claiming 36 rakaah) and other narrations would include the witr to this total also (which explains the narrations stating 41 rakaah)
