Default Is there a digital equivalent for Muslims similar to Avaaz.org?
Is there? and is there value in having such a central location online?

Azaaz has members who act out in the real world and not just a digital initiative. A version for Muslim could get members to get involved in all sorts of political and social matters and at the least report back to the members explaining exactly what they did and what outcomes (positive and negative).

Of course there has been plenty of 'muslim groups' but I think here the co-ordination is with the members and reporting framework to keep everyone in the loop is important

I wondered about this too. But knowing Muslim behaviour, I don't think a Muslim version would work, it would probably cause more fitna and division than good. Not to mention government scrutiny and suspicion. I personally find Avaaz to be the best and done really well. I think more Muslims should get behind it.

But Muslims are active in developing technology and exploring new tools of activism. I did some research on this and there are some initiatives in that regard...

Although I am joined up to Avaaz, it is not a Muslim initiative.
But your other points are valid, but in the UK if you have legitimate stakeholders and your books are clean then you can set up this kind of thing even with the scrutiny. Also there are initiatives as you mention all over the place, it would be an idea to centralised some of the fragmentation.

Avaaz works on the basis of members deciding on the issue of the day (so to speak) and whichever gains the most traction is pursued and looked into. Try and keep it simple and least likelihood of fitna and division.
