Certain ignorant people think like this when they experience Asian Muslims who sometimes might have confused culture with Islam. An outsider sees:

- they all dress similar (many Asian Muslimah dress identical to Hindu / Sikh sisters and half cover their head with a see through flimsy dupatta (Asian headscarf) with the hair showing at the front

- they eat curry

- weddings shamefully are no different from Hindu / Sikh (mixing, Indian music and dancing)

- language is same or similar

- have inherited Hindu customs, traditions, superstitions which have no basis in Islam

However with research the interested Westerner will realise his "local" religions of Judaism and Christianity have more in common with Islam than H and S!
