I think Mufti Ibn Adam's fatwa captures it all really. On a side note - I almost fell off my chair laughing at "sahih tabligh". It's in a way true though - we should be very careful when relating hadith and using "The Prophet Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam said.....". As some Ulama have opined, we should rather say "In a hadith, it is related that...." and also add the caveat that "so and so Shaykh/Imam said this hadith is weak....". Let's follow the example of the great sahabi Abdullah ibn Mas'ood RA. NB: I am not saying that we can't act upon weak ahadith for fadaa'il. Please read the paragraph properly. |
