Now do you guys say that a Sufi is a member of a tariqa, or a `Alim of Tassawuf, or just someone who supports Sufism?
I mean I call myself "Sufi" when I am talking to some people to let them know where I come from because if I said "Sunni" they won't realize that I accept Tassawuf. Wassalam. |
Allahu Akbarrrrrr

Imam Muhammad Ibn Hasan as-Shaybani was asked that why have you not written a book in asceticism (Tasawuf/Zuhad)? He replied: ' have I not written the Book of Trade and Commerce!!!' (Kitab al-Boyoou') (Hasheaya of Hidaya by Imam Laknawi, Kitab ar-ribaa) |

great just what we need, now saudi can become more like pakistan or bangladesh or prerevolution Mali. Just what we need
Perhaps its wiser to stoptrying to get people to go backwards and forwards between sects and perhaps focus on getting us through the biggest slaughter the muslims have seen since the mongols (maybe our situation is even worse than the mongols Allahu a'lam). Not construtcuve. Waste of time. Leave this sectarian nonsense, it benefits nobody |
Salafi dawah has spread around the whole world and is still the dominant ideology in Saudi by far. Its now firmly tooted in many other countries and is easily gaining far more steam that Sufism. For a group that didnt exist until recently supposedly, salafi dawah has travelled far and wide alhamdulillah, and now tehre is salafi dawah in every country in the whole world. You only have to look at the yearly accepted list at madinah university to know how every country in teh world is being filled with salafi du'aat:
http://madeenah.wordpress.com/2009/0...ist-2009-2010/ http://madeenah.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/list-out/ http://madeenah.wordpress.com/2011/0...2012-14321433/ Salafis are now massive in number in places like egypt aswell, and have large following in indonesia, malaysia etc, meanwhilse tons of sufis are out clubbing, drinking, barely practising, so dont feel happy because some mawleed is happening in the Arabian peninsular, sufis have been there for a long time, and considering apparently its not sunnah or waajib, you are celebrating an act that contains no reward, and in the process encouraging the division of the Muslims at a time when we should be working together to solve the ummahs problems inshallah. If you guys wanna play it sectarian then dont complain when I start smashing sufis and working for the removal of sufism rather than cooperating with them in khair. Sometimes you guys make me wanna join the madkhalis, seriously |
sorry just seen this thread is from 2006, hopefully people have grown up since then inshAllah

Really????? You have made a blanket statement which is highly subjective. It is unbecoming of you. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/wasalam.gif |
I can tell you first hand taht many of your young asian children are out clubbing and drinking and committing zina because many of them are at my university doing it. One pakistani from my class was telling me how at this party, an indian muslim was snorting a line of cocaine and drinking vodka and asked him why he isnt doing it too. he said "Im a muslim and Im doing this so you should too". Problems are rampant in the sufi community, vats majorty of your youth are not even practising and all you care about is getting mawleed started in saudi. Allahu musta'aan. Talk about priorities
and no its not a blanket statement because I'm not saying all sufis do this, Im just telling you you have serious problems in your own backyard |
