The anecdotes of Hazrath Maulana Ilyasji rh: #10: Replying to the question raised, viz. "Why are Muslims not granted rulership and leadership in the world?" he replied: "When we do not fulfill the commandments of Allah and refrain from the forbidden in our personal lives over which we have full control and there is no obstacle or compulsion, then how is it possible that we be entrusted with the governing of this world. It is only through the decision of Allah that the believers may be granted government on the earth so that they may seek His pleasure and establish His laws in this world. Now, when we are not doing this in the sphere of our own choice (in our individual lives), how can it be expected, when tomorrow we are given the reins of government. we shall do so?" Link He^ was far ahead of his time... |
How can Muslims obey Allah in their personal lives if governments and society make it so difficult and almost impossible to live as Muslims? An example is not paying interest on a mortgage...one has to either pay rent on a house where the landlord then pays their mortgage off and becomes rich, or one takes out a haram loan oneself. Muslims do not even talk about establishing a halal economy, most of us have not got a clue what that is. Islam is more than just prayers and fasting...it is trade, business and government...as long as Muslims never talk about these or try to bring the halal in, we will be dominated by the kufr.

We have to start with ourselves first. Besides if you look at our present muslim goverments, they are ruling and implementing laws which are totally unislaamic and against the laws of ALLAH! |

My dear brother Abu Zakir, you seem to be frustrated regarding something, you well know what you said above and the the quote of ml ilyasji rh are 2 different things, tell me something, after being granted prophet-hood, did the Prophet pbuh say, "first i'll conquer makkah, then I can do dawah without any problems" did the sahabah do such things? did the sahabah have any such ideas? yes, Islam encompasses everything and its not just prayers and fasting but also about trade and governance, but when will that happen, it'll happen when people first realise what they are missing out on, we Muslims today are nowhere close to that, we fold our caps and put it in our pockets at the mere sight of a policeman or even a non_Muslim colleague at work, we fear to tell people of our religious affiliations, we fear to show our Muslim identity, so rather than putting the blame or even shifting the responsibility on others, jamats and all..we need take the responsibility ourselves, ask ourselves... What can I do to make a difference? dawah tabligh is for a purpose, its only a vehicle, the purpose is Deen, wherever we are, whatever we do, our lives should be governed by it, in tabligh we aren't said leave your jobs, leave your businesses and do tabligh 24/7/365, thats why you have a tarteeb, brothers abu tamim, dr76 etc haven't left their practice, i haven't, my city's zimmedars have their own businesses, 3 top zimmedars of my city are doctors themselves, they work on taqaza's, each of them 4 months in a year is a normal thing, yet they practice too, and through their hospitals & medical clinics, they're doing some amazing amazing khidmah of the community including non-Muslims, and at the same time dawah too...don't believe none of it, if you want to see, take my email and make a visit.. what is really surprising is the fact that people still have this notion that tabligh is all dawah and no real action on the ground, how stupid, in this age of youtube and twitter when anyone can view what maulana tariq jameel is conveying, we still have doubts...perhaps the 5th point (ikhlaas) is what is holding them back from shouting from their rooftops. whenever i bring that quote of ml ilyasji rh up, i have to keep clearing the doubts...before you, it was Usama2... anyways are we clear on this? |

In our community we bought a house to build a masjid & paid it cash, it took a year to collect the funds but it happened. If you have issues with the non Islamic market then you should start one in your capacity. Start with one shop, give people interest free credit & inspire others. Being tired is not an excuse. If you tired & sleep before the waqt comes in then there is no sin on you if you sleep through that waqt & just make qadha after. Everything is possible, think positive & have a good intention. We have a problem in our community in Johannesburg. The average man doesn’t want to study & we can see that he doesn’t know enough. Me & MOSPIKE have been working together in bringing the I’lm to our communities. We not off the ground yet but we are pushing & we have the vision that this could become an organization that will exist long after us. Its just the two of us, no ulama, no doners, our own money, here & there we get something. |
please
remember where you live and the condition of muslims locally |

A boy in our neighbourhood ended up in jail for several months. He was a ward member candidate in local municipal elections held a few days back. Then from the posters I learned that there was another hard working, striving and educated candidate for the same post. In photograph he looked like a goonda (ruffian). Yesterday evening I heard there was an after election fight in the locality. He ended in police station. His mentor, our neighbour and chief of city unit of a national party, got him out. My suspicion is that other candidates might not be more cleaner. You see there is one more layer of reality that we have not yet reached. |
