Brother you have given me your ijtihad, so you are a "ghair muqalid" then who gives your own daleel rather than quoting ulama? Why cant you provide me with kibaar ulema who have encouraged spreading teh faults of the saudi government? Also interested in knowing the deobandi stance on the issue. |

please share that hadith. Hadith - Reported by Ahmad (3/403) and Ibn Abee 'Aasim (2/521) with a saheeh isnaad. It is authentically reported from the Messenger in the hadeeth of 'Iyaad ibn Ghunum who said, "The Messenger of Allaah (saaws) said, 'Whoever desires to advise the one with authority then he should not do so openly, rather he should take him by the hand and take him into seclusion (and then advise him). And if he accepts (the advice) from him then (he has achieved his objective) and if not, then he has fulfilled that which was a duty upon him.' " Can you see now why i object to brothers criticising saudi or ANY other MUSLIM ruler regardless of sectarian differences. I am trying to followthe sunnah or the prophet SAW. How many who criticise saudi are following emotion and desires and how many are speaking from evidence and advice from the ulema? |

. A question for the saudi hater/turkey lovers. 1 Total shaytaan enemies of Allah 2 Middleground 3 Promising nations which should be supported and could in teh future be nations that are carrying the flag of islam inshAllah Group 1 are places like syria, tunisia and libya pre revolution, uzbekistan, iraq, iran etc where chaning the rulership or the political situation of the people or the religious condition is the first priority based on teh situation group 2 are places like pakistan or bangladesh, where political and relgious improvements need but tehre is no harm in developing the nations in terms of infrasture aswell and less severe political moves are needed so no need for revolutions etc, maybe get in through parliament or strikes in bagladesh take smaller political measures group 3 are nations that arent islamicly perfect, but are in a good enough situation that we can focus more on stregthening them with infrastucture, development etc, depending on their current status, and also working on political unity between them in teh form of an EU style bloc inshAllah with a unified currency, language, military, economy etc inshallah. Nations like somaliland come into this category and should be built up from the basics, constant electic supply, proper water and education and health care etc inshAllah, and nations like saudi, indonesia, turkey etc should be developed in terms of advanced defence industry, strong economies etc inshallah Thats my analsysis of teh muslim world currently and what is needed. Brothers,
Too much water is flowing down Tigris in the sense that there is excessive discussion on SF at the moment so it is difficult to keep up with all the good info that is flowing. This preamble is to apologize for not having read all the posts in the thread. But still yours truly has some thing to say. Yours truly is amongst one of those who some times gets caught on non-Saudi side and some times on the pro-Turkey side. In spite of that yours truly would not like to receive the Saudi-hating, Turkey-loving badge. Reason is simple - it is not an accurate description of reality. There things that yours truly loves about Saudia and there things about Turkey that yours truly feels rather uncomfortable about. And if some one asks about over all feelings then yours truly has no answer for that also - because the question did not come to mind. My expectation from both Saudia as well as Turkey is that they behave Islamically. So the things are not as black and white as the message has reached you - and when I say that I am not blaming anyone of you. And I do admit that this Sufi-Salafi marriage is not that easy to perform. |

Thats a very balanced position mashAllah. InshAllah we should all work hard to move the muslim lands forwards. Its inconceivable that china, a nation of idol worshippers, could achieve everything we need to achieve in a political sense in only 50 years, yet we are still moving so slowly dispite all our resources, people, land and our religion itself.
So we should all do our bit inshAllah and ratehr than hate on people, just work hard for those nations you feel most comfortable with whilst being happy an dmaking dua for those other nations I have no qualms going to turkey to help themn build up as a nation inshAllah |
