Keep a pocket sized tajweed color coded copy of the Glorious Quran at your place of work - keep it safe and secure at an elevated place but also where you could access it easily.

Don't read tafseer at your place of work even if you can - 'coz then it'll set you thinking, you may not be able to concentrate on your work. Allahu Alam.

First and foremost Ask Allah SWT for taufeeq and give love of Quran to you.
My shyakh recommended playing quran recitation in the background while on your pc, i've found that it keeps by blinders up
during browsing sessions and infact have reduced my online time.
Iisten to quran during household chores, exercising, daily commute, join a quran class ( even if for an hour a week ) to keep your
motivation up.

Nice thread.

My ulamah's - or the ulamah's I know are strongly against reading the Quran or any Deeni stuff on all those devices where you also get to see dunya - 'coz the importance / sacredness we'd have slowly wanes.

brother looking around i guess it would be safe to say that your ulamah are my ulamah minhaj wise.
Shaykh is a Mufti and khalifa of a famous Shaykh from Pakistan.

Though i see your point there. It helps keeping your gaze down imo especially in this weather.

As long as we are connected to any Ulamah e huqq - there's no problem bro.

One of the ulamah I live among - Shaykh Maulana Zulfiqar Saheb db kept the book authored by him on his head as a mark of respect

If one hasn't recited the Quran for quite some time . Start reciting one particular surah everyday.
Eg: Like Yaseen or Waqia or Dhukhan or Mulk. Any one of it, everyday. It makes a huge difference on ones outlook towards reciting the Quran.

P.s. One can recite along with any of the famous Qaris. Sheikh Shuraim's Yaseen -10 mins, Waqia-8mins. etc. This can be used for motivating oneself by asking, cant I spend atleast 10mins everyday for reciting Quran? eventually one will move on to doing Khathams of the Quran.

Also, one should know the rewards of such Surah. For self motivation.
Suratul Yaseen= reward of complete Quran 10 times. (so in 10 mins one gets the reward of reciting the Quran 10 times)
Suratul Dhukhan= reciting it at night 70,000 angels make dua for forgiveness for you. (spend 7mins to get dua of 70,000 angels for a whole night)
Suratul Waqia= Abundance of Rizq and protection from poverty.
Suratul Mulk= Protection from punishment of grave.

Pick any one of the above surah and start reciting it daily. Having a daily relation with the Quran makes a HUGE difference. Its how my life took a U-turn from self destruction.

those of us with borderline tajweed like me should arrange sessions with a maulvi saab at least twice a month where we recite in his presence and rectify the errors..

I would second what one of the sister mentioned above, that is to memorize some important Surah such as Yaseen, Mulk, Waqiah etc and recite while driving or commuting to work/masjid/market etc. As well as reciting some portion after Fajr or Asr. Since Fajr is so early nowadays most of us go back to sleep after Fajr, recitation after Asr works in summers, while after Fajr during winters.
