Default The Portrait of a Muslim as a Graceful Man
Like so many of us on SF yours truly too has grown up with the ignominy of western designed education.
Now this is a terrible calamity because of various serious reasons but there has been some things that west had got better than we Muslims.

Like actual presence of Islamic teachings in life. People have reported and this sinner too has experienced to some extent, the high level of honesty in personal dealings.

Behaving gracefully in the face of difference of opinion is one such trait in which west beats us hands down.

When we as an Ummah are disunited as well as weak in worldly facilities then it is imperative that we make utmost effort to maintain grace in our interactions with the west. Like any other attitude this too can be learned. We do need it much more in our dealings with each other also, specially when, unfortunately, we have got so many diverse groups amongst ourselves.

Brother Julybib posted an incident from the life of Imam Malik (RA) in which we get a glimpse into rather high level of humility his personality.

So what can we do to inculcate this attitude in our lives? Please quote further incidents as well as your thoughts.

I personally am mesmerized by brother Shabir Ally's elan in this direction. Then there might be others also.
