Amongst all the complications and debates on Aqedah, Madhab, Taleed, Salafees etc I would like to make a list of basics which all Muslims should adhere to and should avoid so please give your input in compiling two lists of B-A-S-I-C-S

Things to do:

1. Pray 5 times daily

Things to avoid:

1. Avoid Alcohol

Things to do:
2. Speak good to parents and people in general
3. Respect the scholars and have their azmat in the heart

Things to avoid:
2. Backbiting
3. Talking too harsh and coming across rude and hurting others.

4. Stick to sunnah of our beloved Prophet(PBUH).

Very important point sister, wether they are from different camps, we shouldn't degrade any 'Alim, despite having differences and differing with them we shouldn't disrespect them (i am talking about myself first and foremost)

Another thing i could add is:

4. Keeping the gaze down.

I wish we get these points when it comes to good manners
Yoosuf ibn Asbat said: “There are ten signs of good manners and they are:

1. Little arguing
2. Listening well
3. Avoiding searching for shortcomings
4. Covering mistakes
5. Finding excuses
6. Patience when annoyed
7. Blaming one’s own self
8. Seeing one’s own faults rather than other people’s faults
9. Having a beaming face with the young and the old
10. Saying kind words to those who are below and above one (with regards to religious knowledge, righteousness, social status, and so forth).”
