Salaam Akhi Amr,

As I said - sometimes I can be a bit too Deobandi friendly haha.

For example - in the matters of bid'ah - I prefer the Deobandi approach that there is actually no bid'ah hasanah in matters of religion (despite Shaykh ul Islam Izz ud-deen's categorisation). Also on matters like istigatha (e.g. despite the Shaykh ul Islam Shams-ud-deen Ramli and Ibn Hajar Haytami's opinions on it)

I guess I am a pseudo Deobandi-Shafi'i - if such a term exists!!
Yeah, there are many Shafi'i-Deobandis; especially in India, South Africa, Sri Lanka...

Sadly, not too many in Bangladesh! I still remember when a tablighi brother approached me and asked if I was shi'a

But we deviate from the thread - Why isn't this practice considered bid'ah when many brothers seem to carry it out quite devotedly after every salah?
