I am a decent Muslim in which I pray 5 times a day, fast, pay zakat and etc...what I fall short in is certain things due to the fact where I found Islam a a later part of my life and was not raised with it...for example when I hear a khatara they say a special dua at the beginning and at the end...I don't know this...small stuff like this...is there a book that puts things in order of importance so that I can read, learn, memorize, and implement...please any help...

Are you asking for a dua book? If so, then try to get hold of Hisnul Muslim. Its a good collection of supplications for a variety of occasions.
