Basically, there are some sites which give live stream of masjid performing salah. I was thinking, just like how people can perform jamat when they're outside the mosque (due to lack of space) through speakers, can I do the same if I'm miles away listening to their live stream?

![]() I've also read somewhere (though don't remember where now) that one is not allowed to do so. It was on one of the popular fatwa sites where the person was asking that if they can hear the jamat going on in their local masjid because it is being done over some loud-speakers, can they pray along with the jamat from home, and the answer given by the mufti(s) on the fatwa site was "no". I'm pretty sure the same ruling would apply to joining a jamat along with live web-streaming and such. Allah knows best. ![]() ![]() EDIT: P.S. by the title of your post I originally thought if you meant if you could join a jamaat (as in TJ) through live stream. Such as do your 3 days, 40 days etc with the jamaat by participating with them via live streaming... LOL. ![]() |
