As-Salamu-Alaykum brother,

How does one go about doing that? Do I give it to someone?

On the one hand, I am scared that if there is any shirk/kufr involved, then I shouldn't keep it in the house (and this frame is kept next to the Holy Qur'an).

On the other hand, I am scared that if I have misunderstood something, and there is no kufr/shirk involved, but that it only talks about tawassul, then by not keeping it, I might have caused disrespect to Islamic literature.

I am quite confused.

Wassalamu Alaykum.

If you are not sure about their nature, it's best to be cautious and remove them from the home. The advisable method of doing so is to bury or place them in a river. Some Muslim graveyards will allow you to use their land to bury them.

Salaam's.

Some extreme Barelvis practice this and I have been informed there is also a salatul hajah that is prayed too Imam Ahmed Radha Khan.

Salaat-e-Ghawthiyya is mentioned in Ahmad Raza's books. I think I posted a thread about it in the past but I can't find it anymore.

Yes. In India, no one besides the Barelwis offers this kind of prayers.

As-Salamu-Alaykum,

Does anyone have any advice on this subject? Should I be worried about the frame? What should I do with the book(s) mentioned in question (1)?

Wassalamu Alaykum.
You can go to
http://www.darulifta-deoband.org/
or
http://askimam.org/

to ask for a fatwa from the knowledgeable muftis there.

Usually I get a faster response from darulifta deoband.

Theres also a Durood-e-Ghausiya which is also full of shirk.

When I was first given that leaflet I did a search to see if its a popular Barelvi thing but didnt find anything on that exactly. However I did find a thread on Ya Nabi forum where they were asking for advice on how to exactly perform this 'salat' e ghausiyah. One on the questions a user asked was where is Iraq from the Qibla direction! SubhanAllah, how the devil deceives these people. There beliefs and practices are full of shirk upon shirk.

That's true. They pray in the direction of Baghdad.

Ahmad Raza Khan said, “If someone is in the land of the disbelievers residing in a village, for example if there are only hindus there and this person is unable to leave the place for some reason. So then tell us if a situation arises then who will he immediately ask (ie ask for a fatwa)? Then it will be said to him, “Ask the Pandit (a Pandit is a hindu priest).” (Fataawa Rizwiyyah 3/253)

“Making idols for the purpose of being worshipped is not disbelief (Kufr).” (Fatawa Maulana Fadl Rasool Badayuni pg.14, Mufeed Khalaa’iq Press Shahjahanabad 1228H).

Badayuni was not a Barelwi as such, more of an associate of Ahmad Raza. If I remember correctly from Mutala-e-Barelwiat, he held the same view as Ahmad Raza regarding the British Raj over India at the time and even had a couple of altercations with this friend of his. Will have to double check though.

How about this one called - Dua Joushan Kabeer

Someone was trying to fool us into reading this on laylatul qadr, and we found out it is a shia dua.

Does anyone know clear cut if there's any shirk in it, or just bida't?
Salam Aleykum Sister,

Let me show you how the Shia spend Laylatul-Qadr:

This is found in the books of some of their scholars such as Ibn Tawoos, they attribute a very weak narration to one of their Imams in which he tells them to place the Quran on their heads and recite a certain Du'ah.

Of course the Hadith is very weak even according to their standards but they still accept it and use it because their scholars don't care about authenticity.

He was a great defender of Raza and a great enemy of Tawhid.

That's what a bid'ah is: you people believe you are doing 'ibadat, while you are committing something haram.

This thread is not about bid'ah, its about shirk that could nullify all the other acts of worship.

brother, How come calling shaykh abdul qadir and doing all nonsensical things like walking 11 steps towards Baghdad during salaah be an act of ibadat.
