Abu_Bilal,

for the offer.

Your name has been mentioned for a potential English translator. Please tell us what you think and if you would be able to contribute. If you are too busy, we perfectly understand...I will talk to someone from South Africa this evening in shaa Allah about the same matter. I wonder if the audio option may be easier for any eventual translator; Brother Suleiman has rightfully stressed that finding the most appropriate individual is primordial. In my opinion, a person who has fikr to do this service would be very capable of doing an excellent work. If time is a problem, I propose an audio translation and I would be willing to transcribe the audio. It would obviously be a project over some time. I believe we can all benefit from it, even if it's just little by little.

On the other hand, for Arabic, I would appreciate your assistance in verifying if the bookstore mentioned by brother Maripat has the book in stock (Darul Ishat, Karachi).
I have talked to Ml Abdul Hafeez Makki yesterday; he recommended translators who are 'ulama in Karachi. I have to call him back today to get their contact. We will need someone to deliver the book to them once we have their contact.

Mukhtar
Assalam Alaikum.

Firstly, i am truely humbled that you have my name on your potential translators. The truth is that, this sinner does not deserve such a job due to obvious lack of Taqwa, lack of Ilm and lack of Fikr.

Secondly, i am extremely busy with studies, tableegh, and other related activities. If i can get a spare timeslot, i will let you know inshAllah.

I will look for the books in Karachi and then let you know inshAllah.

Sulaiman,
for the link on the arabic bayane request. You have saved me a lot of unavailable time.

I agree with you.
Among the people I have met over the years, Maulana Sulaiman Katani is among the most capable all criterias compounded.

I will put in the request to him in shaa Allah, as soon as I am able to get in contact with him; hopefully in a short time. I have requested someone to re-give me his contact info.

If you read urdu, and are from the uk, I am sure you are also capable of doing it; so I will take the liberty to put your name on the list of potential participants

As mentioned earlier, nothing to add to Ml Sad's insistence on these talks...

We ask Allah ta'alaa to make this endeavour successfull.

. From what I hear these days, Maulana Sulaiman Katani is very busy. I don't know if you've come across the book, Priceless Advices for all workers of Deen. It's translated into English from one bayan of Maulana Sa'd. It's excellently translated and prepared, and guess by who? One Alim named Maulana Zeyad Danka, under the guidance of Maulana Sulaiman Katani. His email contact is in the book. I think that is a potential prospect right there.

I hope I didn't give the wrong impression that I read Urdu ( have I blended in the UK SF community that much?:). Any connection that I have of the language is extremely weak, so I wouldn't qualify, I'm 100% sure of it.

I'm pretty sure there are quite a few posters here who have the expertise to translate. We might need a sahibul amr so he could inform those who show tawaadhu' by the resquest that;

Al-amru fawqal adab

btw I have Maulana Sa'd bayan translated into English which I would like to send to you, if you don't mind.

I do hope by all this brainstorming we accomplish something.

Salaam,
using the info you provided, I was able to talk to Maulana Zeyad and Maulana Sulaiman.

In shaa Allah he will look into the book to ensure the suitability of translation.
He has a copy himself, but has not had a chance to look at it yet.
He's currently in Madina Munawwarah and will be back in SAfrica on Sunday In shaa Allah.

I will keep contributors to the thread informed as appropriate in shaa Allah.

As well as the book Lisanud-Da'wah wat Tabligh (a book in Arabic of usool of Da'wah as well as 20 or so bayans of Maulana Umar palumpuri ) in English. The Mufti seems very busy, I haven't got a response yet.
Salaam,
we can assist to translate the Arabic book. Need 2 look at it and find out if Benglawali Masjid elders approve of the contents.

Do you have access to a few scanned pages? 5 or 10 pages would be sufficient.
How many pages total are there?

Yes, their approval should take preference over things. The book Lisanud-Da'wah wat-Tabligh is well over 100 pages (I think) but that includes Maulana Umar Palampuri and other Ulamaa's bio along with questions and answers and usool of the work.

I just gave the book this morning to a family member to scan one bayan which is about 8 pages or so. Once it's done, I will email it to you insha'Allah.

I think the bayan was about Ahwaal is according to A'maal

I had bookmarked this page a long time ago and came across it today again.

Can the brothers who where involved above inform us regarding the progress made?

My particular interest is that there are many books in Urdu and Arabic especially relating to Tablight that require translation to English.

Also, with the many bayanat by current Ulama in the form of videos/audios hold great benefit for the public however everyone does not have that oppurtunity to listen to these lectures either due to language barrier or whatever reason.

can anyone fill us in...

Maulana Mukhtar may I have your email address. Insha Allah I'll put you in contact with a publisher who is handling Mufti Roshan Shah's books. They have just brought out the sermons of Maulana Umar Palanpuri Sahab (apparently in fifty volumes).

It soothens the heart to hear the quantity of bayanes; and the fact that Ml Umar RA originally wrote them.

Would you be able to arrange for the books to be shipped to Karachi? Or alternatively, could you ask the book shop if they have a distributor in Karachi so it can be purchased from there?

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله
Would it be possible get these books delivered to The Republic of Ireland?
