Default Constant breaking of wudhu... please help
Asalaamu alaykum,

I get constant discharge all the time. Depending on how far away I am from my cycle or not, sometimes it is heavy, sometimes it is clear/sometimes yellowish etc. I have read several views on this and have been really confused. I know that this is something that has been said to break the wudhu and some even say it is najis. Does this mean I have to clean myself between each prayer? This is harder even so when I'm out.

What I thought I could do was insert a piece of folded up tissue in the area so that no liquid would pass out of me (as tissue will block the passageway) and be seen on the outside. That way, I figured I do not need to renew my wudhu as long as the tissue is in place and as long as it doesn't soak and wetness is seen on the outside. However I want to know if this is permissible (and if it is so for the Shafi madhhab too). I am a virgin (am not yet married). I have been careful as to not insert it too far up and the tissue can be seen from the outside too as I don't want to risk hurting myself by inserting it too much.

My question is: would this be okay for me to do this and then not renew my wudhu each time (of course assuming there are no other causes that made my wudhu break like passing wind) AND does this action mean I need to do a ghusl of janabat? Because I am inserting something in that area even if it doesn't go inside of me (as far as I am aware).

I would like to just point out that I do have huge huge issues with waswas. Alhamdulillah it is much better than it used to be but this is a reason why I am so doubtful of my purity at times.

Thank you for any help you can give me. May Allah (swt) bless you. Ameen.

I believe that would be fine... when I get out of classes I will try to find the reading that I'm recalling this from to make sure.

Wa'alaykum assalaam sis Aishath.

It is permissible to do that.
However, your wudhu' is valid only within one fardh solat waqt (time). Ya'ni, if you take wudhu in zohr time, your wudhu is valid during that time. You can do nawaafil salat, etc. But when the asr time comes, you need to clean the "private part" and again do as you've done (ie block the passage to prevent the liquid from seeping out) and renew your wudhu.

wallaahu a'lam.

By the way, have you seen a doctor regarding your problem ? or seek any medical assistance to cure your problem ?

Asalaamu alaykum,

Thank you for the information above. I was under the impression that as long as we don't remove the tissue wudhu would be okay. Unfortunately that isn't the case I see.

I haven't seeked medical help because I thought this was fairly common amongst women? Or is this not really the case if I am having to clean between each prayer times then (is it more frequent than 'normal'?) Maybe I should seek medical advice about this I guess because the whole process is becoming really difficult especially at university when having to clean myself for each prayer time as there are no Muslim showers in the bathrooms so I have to use a uni-sex diasbled bathroom to do it properly

Thank you for your help!

walaykum assalaam.

You do not need to take shower. Just the affected area needs cleaning / toharah (ie only the areas that got into contact with the "discharge")

Wallaahu a'laam.
