Aswk. I want to knw wht is the diff. Between sf and facebook. In both sites we find intermingling of sexes, which is not permissible in islam. Pls clarify my doubt.

There are a lot of differences: for example, there are no photos allowed on this forum, you can't contact people via private message (I can't anyway), there's a brothers-only and sisters-only forum unlike facebook.

It has been discussed here earlier and there is an understanding that there should be idle cross-gender talk. This type of thing by the Grace of Allah (SWT) is quite minimal here. Indeed this much might not be good enough for you. In that case it will be better if you do not use SF. Complete banning of cross-gender talk is an impractical suggestion.

And I stand corrected by the scholars.

And Allah (SWT) knows the best.

There are ulema here in this forum who supervise and moderate this forum.
If its still not enough to you, its better you to don't use it.
Comparison of the forum with facebook is nothing but stupidity
