Default Will you share your experience??
Salaam brothers and sisters

I was doing some research one night and stumbled across a site where a brother had written of his dream, that the angel of death had visited him when dreaming. He went and seeked advice. He explained in his dream he asked the angel "how much longer?" the angel mearly held up his hand, five.

"Five years?Five months?Five days?Minutes....?" with no reply.

The advice he received : The angel of death showed you five, he may have been referring to the five pillars of Islam, and that only Allah knows when it is your time.

This still gives me goosebumps!

I also recently watched the video where a Jinn who interrupted an Imam ....

My question is ... has anyone ever experienced any dreams, or any brief encounters with Jinns?
How did you feel?
What sticks in your mind the most?

I do not wish to cause any offence to anyone, so please accept my apoogies if I have.
It's a general discussion and would like to hear if anyone is open to share.

Thanks

There are ruling on dreams, one must be careful. And Jinaat are the creation of Allah there are believer and non-believer
“I created jinn and mankind only that they may worship me.”
(Al Zariyat:56)

“And among us ( the Jinns ) there are the righteous folk and among us there are far from that; we are sects having different rules.”
(Jinn:11)

Dreams are of three types
Rahmaani (those that come from Allah)
Nafsaani (psychological, they come from within a person)
Shaytaani (those that come from the Shaytaan).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Dreams are of three types: a dream from Allah, a dream which causes distress and which comes from the Shaytaan, and a dream which comes from what a person thinks about when he is awake, and he sees it when he is asleep.” (al-Bukhaari, 6499; Muslim, 4200)

bn Hajar said about good dreams

1. A person should praise Allahfor the good dream
2. He should feel happy about it
3. He should talk about it to those whom he loves but not to those whom he dislikes.

bad dreams

1. He should seek refuge with Allahfrom the evil of the dream
2. He should seek refuge with Allahfrom the evil of the Shaytaan
3. He should spit to his left three times when he wakes up
4. He should not mention it to anyone at all.

Brother
some people are curious, and curiosity killed the cat! But on a serious note, these are not matters to be taken lightly, as I
know (first hand experience).

Who exactly is mixing things up? I simply asked if people would be open enough to share first hand experiences, not ghost stories.

I see a lot of people on here talk about dreams and death and Jinns...did you say this to them also?

If I can't ask questions how will one learn? Especially as I am a revert, I haven't been brought up my entire life and just happen to have this knowledge on such things.

Thank you so much sister for the support, yes curiosity killed the cat...you know what happens after that right?
We should be fearful of these thigs, what because we can't see things doesn't mean they are not there

You know sister I had this dream, and I was discussing it as an arabic name was mentioned so I looked it up. I typed it in to the search engine and the spanish meaning was "Most Graceful, Most Beneficial" then there was a Frenchmeaning which meant "Holy and Pure" the arabic meaning however has two meanings because it can be spelt differently one for a girl, the other a boy...one meaning meant being social the other I can't remember off the top of my head. But some said it was a good things, others say it was bad and that it could have been from Shaytaan implanting ...so I was a little confused. I was happy about the dream. Its meaning has kind of become a reality.

Relating dreams in public is probably not a wise idea, you should find a scholar well versed in dreams and get it translated.

I tend myself not to read too much into dreams personally .. I was just saying and I am most certainly not trying to say I have cracked the code of what it means. I was just saying, I never knew that was something wrong to do. Next time I have a dream..I won't say anything.

I don't know if you have read the whole thread (short as it is) but I am a revert and still learning. I wouldn't know where to go if this was what I wanted to do. I'll ask some sisters I know.

Brother

I apologize if what i have said has upset you, some things should just be left alone, Jinns are not part of ourworld and nor are we allowed to interfere in theirs.

As far as dreams are concerned, this following website can help you develop your learning of the interpretation of dreams.

Just want to lighten the mood a bit so here is a jinn story...
There was once an wealthy arab some years ago. He had a few houses from which he wanted to sell one. So he set out to sell it. He began to advertise it and many people came to see the house. Poeple would request to see the house and to their horror they discovered that it was haunted. The first bidder swore that he saw the curtains moving. The second heard banging noises but the seller would try to assure that there must be some explanation. How ever every bidder would come and find or hear horrific things that would make their hair stand up. Anyway nobody had the nerve to buy the house any more and the situation rose to such a stage that a person passing by would hear blood curling screams. Some weeks later people discovered that the owner was becoming mad, he had lost weight. Many advised him to go to many amils but to no avail the Shaykhs were not able to find out the problem. Anyway there was one amil left so he went to him also. To this shock instead of giving a remedy to his problem the amil offered to buy his house. The arab was quite pleased and exclaimed that the house was the crux of his problem and offered it to him at a discounted price. The amil told him that he had a condition for buying the house which was that he would be allowed to sleep in the house for three days to get rid of the jinns in it. The arab agreed.
When the amil wanted to go to the house the arab refused to go with him and gave him the keys. So as the shaykh gos to the house he hears the screams. being an amil it did not affect him so he continued in. But he saw a shadow moving as soon as he stepped in. He continued in however and for sometime there was peace. Night came and as he set to bed. The banging and screaming started. The jin was throwing things into the room. He locked the door to get some sleep as he was tired. The next night was the same. When the third night came instead of going to sleep he began to explore the house. The screaming and banging did not cease to go away but increased. Then he saw a jin wearing a white cloak standing in the doorway of his bedroom holding a knife, he whispers "get out my house before i murder you".To the jins astonishment the shaykh pulls out a gun from his inner pocket and says "Take your cloak off before i shoot you".

The jin takes his cloak of and reveals himself. He was infact a bidder that was trying to decrease the value of the house.

Salam sister,

firstly welcome to the family of Islam... you will find there are some nutters in this family too, you'll get used to them .

Now about dreams... i cannot share bad dreams with you as it is against the Sunnah, so i will share one dream i had 4 years back, a dream which i will never forget.

I was walking and i was in darkness, nothing around me. Then i walked up to a man, the man was Ibrahim (as), he was wearing a white robe, shining very bright. He had a small box with him, he opened the box for me only a little and a lot of light shined from the box and then i woke up. That is the only time I have seen a Prophet in my dream.

That angel of death dream is really shocking, may Allah protect the brother/sister.

And i have never come across a Jinn in my life. And I'd like to keep it that way lol.

Salam.

Wow, that sounds like a nice dream, no wonder why it has stayed with you. No I wouldn't want to come across a Jinn either, but there are people who have...I don't know how they cope. I would probably pass out!

Thanks for sharing

Well..its not really a story then is it....but it did certainly lighten the mood. Thanks for that
