I am a syed muslim who practices the Sunni Fiqh. My mother is sunni and my father is Shia Muslim. That is why I know so much about Shia Islam. Anyways, I have not seen that many Sunnis who are Syeds and I just want to know If there is no problem in me being a sunni and a syed?

P.S Also, how come people praise someone if they are Syed. I never really understood if there was any benefit of being syed.
