My impression was that a scholar from the same people was asked to make the judgement on them. He was so disgusted by the betrayal that he handed over the punishment that is due in case of betrayal.

That is partially correct.

Actually the Banu Qurayza chose a certain Sahaba who used to follow the jewish religion and was now a Muslim to choose their punishment. (I forget the Sahaba's name atm). They thought by choosing him, he would be lenient towards them. However, he chose the punishment from their very own religion, ie executing the men and enslaving the women and children.

Yes, I think that incident is in hayatus sahabah. Or was it that the women and children were exiled? Or was that another incident.

Is this part accurate? Any references. Makes it seem as if Muslims had to rely on Jewish laws to decide what to do.

Jazakallah

Shaykh Hajj Jibril writes:

The Banu Qurayza committed high treason by breaking their oath of alliance with the Muslims and turning against them in time of war. When the battle against them was over, the Prophet, upon him peace, searched for an arbiter known and accepted to both sides who would rule concerning their penalty. The arbiter chosen was Sa`d ibn Mu`adh, who had been mortally wounded and died shortly afterwards. Sa`d said: "I will judge them according to the Law of Musa." He was of the tribe of Aws, who were the allies of the Jewish Banu Qurayza, the men who were executed. They assented to whatever verdict he would give as a leader from Aws.

Ibn Kathir in al-Bidaya mentions that the number of the men executed after the 25-day siege were 400, and that another version says 700. Someone said that the decision was probably taken by Sa`d ibn Mu`adh in light of Deuteronomy 20:12-14

Looks like you got too much free time that you spend on scrutinising people's sins. Go check your ownself and see if you are a speck better than those you are bad-mouthing.

If you (and everyone else inc. myself) had invested that very time in analysing and rectifying our own faults, the entire ummah would have been reformed.

Unfortunately, everyone knows everyone else's crimes except their own!

AND THIS IS OUR GREATEST ERROR!

Not sure how long it will take for this to sink into our brains....
Yes, I should be more forgiving and merciful as well. You are right...

I see nothing wrong with his killing jews. They were traitors, a characteristic of jews as a whole.

Anyone on here read mein kampf? Hitler had some really insightful things to say about jews, which were far from being crazy rants.

it is not right brother comparing that sicko's views with our Prophet [saw]; hitler murdered civillians, women and children, while our Prophet [saw] only executed men who committed high treason

What about the british/american firebombing of dresden in which hundreds of thousands of children were burnt to death? This wasn't done by the germans.

Why do you believe the jewish media? They constantly talk about hitler and world war 2 on TV and in the media, even after 70 years we are still having the 'atrocities' of the germans drilled into us, even though the allies were by far the 'bad guys' in the war, since they fought for international capital, usury, international jewry (otherwise known as freedom and democracy), whereas hitler fought for his people.

Have you ever wondered why we still constantly hear about 'evil hitler' after all this time? He's like a politically correct anti-christ. Anyone does or says something politically incorrect? They're as bad as hitler! The jews did a really good job convincing everyone of their 'suffering' when the historical evidence for the holocaust isn't even there. There weren't even 6 million jews in europe before the war, so how could that many have been killed? It's because this number is part of judaic theology now, the number 6 million represents a 'deification' of the jewish people. I posted an article about this the other day on this forum.

Hitler would certainly disown modern neo-nazis, since most of their attitudes and behaviours would be considered degenerate by him. The jews have done a good job making it appear as if everything a neo nazi or a right-wing nutter says represents hitler. I'm not a nazi by the way.

You know hitler was an ally of the palestinians, and many muslims fought in his army? This is because they, like hitler, wanted to prevent jewish domination of not only europe, but palestine, and fight against colonial powers like britain and france (germany never colonised muslim lands). And as we see now hitler failed, the jewish stranglehold is stronger than it has ever been. They control all finance capital, the media and university institutions in the west. And through this control of the media they've made it all appear as a good thing.

Hitler's goal was to preserve his culture, not to dominate the world. This was the goal of the jewish capitalist west, embodied by the USA. And as we see, they claim to spread freedom and democracy, but in reality they only allow people the freedom to choose from among their products, pepsi or coke, mcdonalds or kfc. That's the freedom you are allowed; you don't have the freedom to refuse to participate, because the system prevents makes such a thing impossible. Hitler winning would certainly have been a better outcome for Muslims.

Asalam o Alaikum, I assume that there are some camoflauged and suspicious people on this particular thread and want to create doubt about the conduct of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallallaho Alaihe Wasalam). Let me remind you that Prophet Muhammad saw was a noble man and was recognized as the Truth telling and the Honest by the pagans even before he(saw) attained prophethood. Such a just man can't do wrong to anyone. Bear it in mind.
